Knowing When to Unplug and How to Do It

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

I know it’s time to unplug when I start feeling mentally drained, lose focus easily and feel overwhelmed even by simple tasks.

Other signs include poor sleep, irritability and a lack of motivation.

To make unplugging happen, I set boundaries—like turning off notifications or putting my phone away during certain hours.

I spend time doing things that help me recharge, such as going for a walk, reading a book or being fully present with loved ones without screens.

It’s all about giving myself permission to pause and reset.
